Other conditions associated with asbestos exposure

Although termed the 'signature cancer' of asbestos exposure, malignant mesothelioma is not the only disease that has been associated with this toxic substance. A number of other lung conditions have been related to asbestos exposure, as well as cancers in other parts of the body. Although some of these conditions are benign, many may be fatal.
